The Scottish Government

Think Different Events organised five National Qualifications Consultation events for October 2008 on behalf of the Schools Directorate of the Scottish Government. These events were spread across the country and involved:

  • Management of the experience offered before, during and after the event for speakers and participants, stakeholders and delegates
  • Agreement between contractor and project manager with respect to locations, venues and dates
  • Contracts agreed with the venues and any sub contractors required for technical support or additional services
  • Development of the database of invited delegates and contact with the delegates to confirm attendance, directions, programme timetable, etc
  • Ongoing liaison with the venue management teams and any sub-contractors
  • The production of a detailed evaluation report to help inform the Schools Directorate about the overall success of the events and take forward any lessons learned
  • Providing creative input to ensure each event provides sufficient interaction between the facilitators and delegates

Each event hosted between 100 and 120 people.

Scottish Executive

The Scottish Executive Schools Group contracted Think Different Events to organise a series of nine Ministerial education breakfast seminars across Scotland, during October and November 2006.

The target audience for the events included senior management figures within schools and the business community.

The tasks included:

  • Venue search and liaison
  • The full range of delegate services
  • Programme timetabling and discussion group formulation
  • Event setup and management at each venue
  • Event evaluation and reporting

The audience size ranged from 20 to over 70 depending on the location and we brought on board one of our associate AV companies to provide the necessary technical support for each event.
