Learning and Teaching Scotland once again contracted Think Different Events to develop the conference programme and fringe activities for the Scottish Learning Festival, which took place at the SECC and Crowne Plaza Hotel on 24 and 25 September 2008.
The tasks included:
This is the major event in the Scottish Education calendar, which attracted over 7,000 delegates this year. Since it's inception in 2000 when 1,200 attended, Martin has been involved in developing the event, first when it was known as SETT and now as the Scottish Learning Festival. Working closely with Learning and Teaching Scotland, emap, the Scottish Government and the venues, the event has evolved beyond all recognition.
Think Different Events are already working with Learning and Teaching Scotland for the Scottish Learning Festival 2009, where we shall continue to build on the event's previous success for it's 10 year Anniversary- watch this space...!
Think Different Events has also developed and delivered a two day training programme for administration staff involved in the organisation of smaller scale events for Learning and Teaching Scotland. Using presentations and a host of interactive scenarios, staff were effectively equipped to deal with the range of issues which arise when planning and executing an event.
'Learning and Teaching Scotland were delighted with the service offered by Think Different Events in the management of the conference programme for the Scottish Learning Festival 2008. Their professionalism was apparent from the very start and the attention to detail is hugely impressive. This combined with their flexibility, dynamism and ability to work under pressure made for an extremely professional and dedicated events management team'.
