If you are new to the Business Banter, as several of you were last week, this is where we highlight all who came along, showcasing their companies wherever possible, while at the same time looking at what's happening around the world of the Business Banter community.
A few big announcements this week, a bit of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly all compressed into a few days.
On The Good side I'm glad to announce the re-launch of The Business Golf Association which has been re-modelled to take account of feedback from the Banterers.
Since the Business Banter started, many of those who have came to the events have often asked what's in it for me?
Well if I could ask you to take a look at the BGA offer below and either sign up to come along and participate in the event yourself or pass it on to your own colleagues or contacts who play or would like to learn to play golf that would be greatly appreciated. By listening to our target audience we've re-packaged the BGA while still offering all the networking facilities of the original project.
The Bad, has to be the decision to end the current phase of the Edinburgh Business Banter with the last event taking place on June 21 at Caffe Nero on Lothian Road.
As many of you will know, Think Different Business Banter has been running in Edinburgh each week since last October and, during that time, a wide variety of business people from one person operations to larger businesses have came along to share a coffee and have a bit of craic early in the morning. Some of the businesses will hopefully have met with others they might not otherwise have came into contact with and through that developed some business for themselves.
As any business, we need to continually evaluate the progress we are making against our own objectives, taking into account what our ‘clients’ and ‘customers’ are looking for and deciding whether what we offer is relevant within the marketplace. It has became obvious in recent weeks that the Business Banter is not working as expected and the time and energy required to develop it into one similar to that in Glasgow is not sustainable.
Consequently, I have decided to open the doors one last time to the Business Banter in Edinburgh on Tuesday 21 June at Caffe Nero between 0800 and 1000. You can always RSVP on the Banter website page should you be able to come along.
And The Ugly, just has to be the attempts of some of the Banterers to break into the movie business with their screen tests at Esquires on Thursday. With all the professionalism of a dodgy home made movie, 24 of the Banterers answered the question 'What's the best thing about Glasgow?'
All their efforts were not wasted as a host of movie moguls have been on the phone almost every hour since we published the video from last Thursday's Business Banter (more details in a paragraph or two).

Peter Mullan called to say he was gutted to have missed the auditions, thinking that a new thriller movie was being filmed in his home city. Council leader Matheson indicated that he would give his fullest support to any film which is able to portray Glasgow in a good light. And Frank Cozzo has been offered a regular slot opening the Comic Stand in Woodlands Road.
So here is a short trailer showcasing three of the Banterers response with the Director's Cut limited edition special below that.
And if the trailer intrigues you then take a look at the full version - the film they tried to ban in HMV and other high street stores. From the weather to the punters from the nightlife to the culture and even a mention for Partick Thistle.
This week's forthcoming Business Banters are at the usual times and places.
Edinburgh, Tuesday, Caffe Nero, Lothian Road 0800-1000
Glasgow, Thursday, Esquires, Hope Street 0800-1000

Maintaining the What's best about Glasgow theme, this week's musical interlude is performed by Hue and Cry. Maybe never my favourite band but always liked this wee tune Mother Glasgow.
Forget about FFs or Friendly Fridays as they're called. This is the 'A' list of Twits this week from the Business Banter Community. So thanks for all the mentions using the #TDBB hash tag this week
